The Connect icon has 2 main functions
Connect To Node
This is a function that connects one Node directly to another node without having to follow a route through a pathway. It is effectively jumping from one node to another. It can be used to send multiple pathway outcomes to the same rule node, rather than having to write multiple versions of the same rule.
You can connect to another node from a Select or\ and Reject result.
To connect from one node to another:
• Click on the node you want to connect to.
• Select Connect To Node from the menu.
• Click on the node you want to connect from.
Select Connect From Select
from the menu.
This will now display a Connected
stem off the Select branch of the rule. The name of the node that the
rule is connecting to will also be displayed.
In the example above if the rule evaluates to a Select result then the Node will Connect to the REG1 ALERT rule.
If the Connect From Reject option is selected from the menu, the Connect To stem is on the Reject branch of the rule.
